been watching some films on tv, ad breaks are the bane of my night.
saw all of a horrific tv miniseries based on the real life kidnapping of steve stayner, called i know my first name is steven, who was abducted at 7 and by the time he escaped (whilst rescuing a kid about to go to the same fate) aged 14 he was a heavy smoker + drinker with a generally destructive personality from the guilt of what this nonce had made him do. the whole tale is dire.
been reading about it and his brother went on to become a serial killer, although after being arrested he confessed to having fantasies about murdering women from age 7, before his little brother went missing, ALTHOUGH he did say too that he felt his parents’ grief deprived him of attention… either way now he’s on death row
also ste stay played a nonspeaking part as a police officer in the film…
just read some chilling facts about the usa, i never needed to know that organisations like NAMBLA exist eugh
anyway then i watched the last 10 minutes of scary movie, 5 years on from first seeing it and still just as good, odd now i’ve seen all the actors elsewhere, i realised shorty was tyrone in requiem for a dream
then twin peaks : fire walk with me was on so i caught the last hour of that, barely able to follow it, something tells me even if i had seen the first half i wouldn’t have comprehended, the tv series is on the horror channel every night this week and i’m gonna watch mulholland drive when i get around to it
town was so nice tonight, felt wintry, looked in a few of liverpool’s hidden gems, got given some freebies + enquired about a job vacancy at a chocolatier’s
in my dreams though. i overheard one of the people working there ask another “do you want to finish this cake off?”, “yeah in a bit”. just too good to be true
needed to get my mum something and almost bought a £15 box of chocolate covered violet petals which had a little recommendation card stuck on the shelf, but then common sense kicked in. liverpool’s definitely got a lot more upmarket recently.
walked home tonight to cut copy, went perfectly with the random firework explosions. buzzing
pyrotechnics last night were brilliant too. was expecting to be underwhelmed, i forget far too easily. when it came to it [blocking out the cringeworthy poor show of music] twas mesmerising
had 3 toffee apples in one day, ergo success.
had some better music at a friend’s gig, including an acoustic cover of billy jean which worked brilliantly, also had a variety of kopparberg, then a two mile walk back home in which i chose to go through ‘the black woods’ for some reason and got all paranoid and jumpy when i saw people walking dogs after midnight.
tomorrow i shall get ready for uni interviews and may watch inception
